June Meeting MinutesAfter a beautiful drive into the countryside we arrived at The Serenity Inn located in Deer Park, Washington. The Serenity Inn has two suites and a policy of no children, no pets and no smoking. The amenities include a hot tub, horseshoe pit and clean fresh air. They are open for outdoor weddings, teas and small company picnics. The meeting dinner was provided by Black Tie-Catering. We were treated to not only the delicious food of Black Tie but also the barbecue delights of Longhorn Barbecue. Black Tie Catering can cook for small or large parties. Thank you to Jamie for getting the evite up and running, it appears we finally have a way to help the caterer and the facilities know how many members to provide for. Please remember to respond to evite. Janet Curry from PartyLite reminded us to remember to bring gifts for the raffle; also the reminder will be placed on the evite. News: Connie from Floral Design let us know about the WMBA's silent auction to benefit the Children's Village. The auction will be held at 205 E. Seltice Way, Post Falls, Idaho. Scott Cook suggested that we rent a bus to take us to the Heartland Ranch located at Farragut State Park for our August meeting. Scott will look into the cost and let us know at the next meeting. Guests: Old Homestead Event Facility, Terry, let us know that her facility is in Clayton, Washington on a 20 acre piece of land. |
